DOHA: Qatar Chamber (QC) Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani lauded the newly launched electronic system of the ‘new companies setup service through the single window e-portal’, noting that it helps save time and effort for business and investors willing to establish new companies in Qatar.

In a press statement issued after the announcement of the digital transformation of the ‘new companies setup service through the single window e-portal’ at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) yesterday, Sheikh Khalifa reiterated Qatar’s progress in the ‘ease of doing business globally’.

He said that Qatar has been chosen as one of the top 20 countries out of 190 counties in the world in terms of their improvement in the ‘Ease of Doing Business 2020’ score by the World Bank due to the state’s efforts and achievements in intelligent systems.

He added that the single window consolidates Qatar’s position as an ideal destination for investment in the region and global levels and enhances the country’s efforts to attract more local and foreign investments.

The first phase of the single window services which had been launched previously helped in boosting the ease of investment procedures.

The single window provides a comprehensive service to establish businesses and factories that allows investors and businessmen to submit and sign applications and pay their fees electronically in order to obtain a license.
