Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov

Moscow---Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will head to Paris to join a mass rally staged Sunday in the wake of terror attacks on the Charlie Hebdo magazine and a Jewish supermarket.
"Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will head the Russian delegation" to the march in Paris, the ministry said in a statement.
Lavrov's spokesman Alexander Lukashevich refuted reports earlier Saturday that France had not extended any invitation to the Russian leadership to join in the rally.
He told the Echo of Moscow radio that the delegation will visit Paris to express "solidarity and support in the war on terror".
Russian President Vladimir Putin denounced the "cynical crime" Wednesday after gunmen killed 12 people in the office of Charlie Hebdo satirical weekly.
Four more people were killed on Friday when another gunman took people hostage in a Jewish supermarket in Paris.
Russians brought flowers and candles to the French embassy in Moscow this week with some joining the "I am Charlie" campaign by displaying the sign in a show of support.
Some pro-Kremlin newspapers have however suggested that Charlie Hebdo brought the tragedy upon themselves by publishing disrespectful cartoons.
