Doha: Twenty-two seasoned dragon boat paddlers departed from Doha, yesterday evening to represent the Philippines- Qatar Dragon Boat Community.
Masterpiece Dragon Boat Team Qatar (DBTQ) will be competing against 69 teams from 15 different countries in the Euro Cup 2021 hosted by the European Dragon Boat Federation.
The sports festival will be held at the Waterfront Market, Dubai and will run from December 9 to 11. The team shall be joining four varying race categories namely: Women’s 250 meters, Women’s 500 meters, Open 250 meters, and Open 500 meters.
The event will mark the upturn of one of the most awaited water sports in the world after its long hiatus due to global pandemic. Masterpiece DBTQ, fresh from their championship win from the recently concluded Mini Regatta held at Katara Beach last December 3, 2021, is looking forward to secure distinct placement and awards all throughout the race.
