DOHA: The Qatar Chamber’s (QC) Registration and Membership Committee held a meeting recently to review a number of issues.
The meeting was chaired by QC Second Vice-Chairman and Chairperson of the Committee Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba and attended by members of the committee.
The meeting reviewed results of the Chamber’s recently-launched electronic system to measure and evaluate customer satisfaction with the services provided by the Chamber to its members. The results showed a high level of satisfaction, which reached 80 percent. The new system will also be updated to include more detailed questionnaires.
The meeting also discussed means of informing the Chamber’s members on the services it offers to the business community.
Members of the committee stressed the importance for the chamber to adopt new mechanisms to help members learn about the services offered by the chamber locally, regionally and globally, as well as adopting new mechanisms to develop the work of the committee.
It’s worth mentioning that the Registration and Membership Committee’s competencies include proposing the mechanism for joining the chamber membership, studying and expressing opinion on companies and individuals willing to join the chamber membership, and classifying Qatari companies and institutions according to activity. It also expresses views on amending membership fees and the exemption from chamber fees, examines requests to dismiss or freeze membership as well as re-membership and studies the various economic sectors in addition to expressing opinion on increasing or reducing companies operating in each sector.
