Doha: Media Pen and Ideal Indian School (IIS) in association with Radio Malayalam 98.6, One FM and Qatar Stories launched school community based agriculture project ‘Agriventure’ recently.
The program is initiated and managed in order to educate and bring awareness among students, parents and others about the importance of agricultural practices and organic farming.
As a part of the project, a practical farming area has been set up in the school premises. Different varieties of vegetable saplings were planted on the occasion. President of Ideal Indian School, Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P inaugurated the project by planting a sapling.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Hassan Kunhi said that activities of ‘Agriventure’ will provide students with hands-on learning experience about farming, food and nutrition and also will enhance the chance for students to adopt healthy eating and agricultural practices beyond the classroom.
Principal of Ideal Indian School, Syed Shoukath Ali; General Manager, Media Pen, Binu Kumar; CEO, 98.6 FM, Anwar Hussain, Heads of Sections, Heads of Departments and Media Pen officials were also present on the occasion.
Students, teachers and parents took part in the program by planting a variety of vegetable saplings.
