Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MoI), in a press statement, announced updates after further investigations following the brutal Israeli attack on residential buildings housing several members of the Hamas Political Bureau in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Tuesday.
MoI said that, after security authorities began conducting technical investigations, matching fingerprints and evidence at the targeted site, and verifying the individuals' identities, the Ministry confirmed that the attack resulted in the martyrdom of Hammam Khalil Al-Hayya, the son of Hamas political bureau chief Khalil Al Hayya.
A number of civilians were also injured at the site, and are currently receiving medical care.
The Ministry extended its sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs, loyal servicemen and civilians, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
The Ministry affirmed that it is continuing its investigations, gathering information, and identifying the remaining missing persons at the targeted site, and that all new developments will be shared promptly as soon as they become available.
