Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Social Development and Family, represented by the Family Empowered Department, launched the second edition of the Financial Awareness Program as part of initiatives aimed at promoting a culture of sound financial management among members of society, and establishing the concepts of planning, saving and rationalizing spending, in order to contribute to supporting family stability and improving the quality of life.
The program comes within the framework of projects stemming from the Third National Strategy (2024-2030), and within the ministry’s efforts to reach various segments of society by strengthening community partnership and cooperation with relevant entities in order to support the achievement of the program’s objectives and enhance its societal impact.
The ministry organized a workshop entitled 'The Family Budget' in cooperation with the Investment and Trade Court and the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants. The workshop was dedicated to employees of the Investment and Trade Court with the aim of enabling participants to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to manage financial resources and the family budget efficiently and responsibly.
The workshop was presented by Abdulla Ahmed Al Mansoori, an accounting expert and board member of the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants. The workshop reviewed a range of topics related to family financial management, including family financial governance, budgeting, expense management, financial planning, financial education for children, and promoting a culture of saving and investment, which contributes to raising financial awareness and achieving financial stability for the family.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Director of the Family Empowerment Department Buthaina Al Obaidly affirmed that the ministry is committed to implementing programs and initiatives that enhance financial awareness among individuals and families, enabling them to manage their resources efficiently and responsibly. This contributes to building stable families who are more capable of planning for their future and facing financial challenges.
