Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of Finance, H E Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, met yesterday with a high-level delegation from the State of Indiana in the US. The delegation, headed by Governor of Indiana, H E Eric Holcomb, is currently visiting Qatar.
During the meeting, the convening parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the commercial, investment and industrial fields. They also touched upon the opportunities available to increase trade exchange and develop investment and industrial relations between the two countries.
It is worth noting that the State of Qatar and the USA have close economic and trade relations that have been positively reflected on the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.
The volume of trade exchange between Qatar and the USA amounted to around $5.3bn in 2020, and the United States ranks as Qatar’s fifth trading partner
