Ministry shuts an unlicensed food store in the industrial area

The Health Control Department of the Municipal Control Department in Doha Municipality seized an unlicensed storehouse in the Industrial Area with 1,400 kilograms of onions unfit for human consumption (expired). An administrative decision was issued and implemented to close the store for 30 days.

The ministry added, on its website, that a virtual inspection of the seized quantity revealed a change in the natural properties of onions and the growth of clear molds, in addition to the lack of the minimum level of health requirements for food stores in the storage place.

A violation report and seizure were issued in accordance with Law No. 8 of 1990 regulating the control of human food, and the immediate destruction of the entire seized quantity, and an administrative closure of the violating store was issued and implemented for a period of 30 days.
