Dr Khalid Al Subai, Scientific Director, Qatar Environment & Energy Research Institute (QEERI)
Dr Al Subai has worked with Ministry of Industry and Qatar Petroleum. Later, he joined Qatar Foundation’s Research Division as Director of Research Coordination and Compliance and since 2013 he is with QEERI. He received PhD in Astrophysics from University of St. Andrews. Master’s Degree in Astronomy from the University of Sydney. Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and BSc in Geology/Physics from Qatar University. He and his team are behind the discovery of the exoplanets Qatar 1 and Qatar 2.
