The State of Qatar, represented in the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, participated in the 3rd GCC meeting on developing legislative and municipal regulation mechanisms, that was organized virtually by the GCC General Secretariat. Qatar was represented by the assistant head of the department of information technology at the ministry Omar Saleh Al Yafei, and head of the regulation department at the Doha Municipality Salem Hamoud Al Shafi. The meeting focused on following up on the implementation of the 23rd meeting of Their Excellencies concerned with municipal affairs. Participants stressed during the meeting on the importance of activating the role of community engagement in regulation and inspection by using social media, and promoting that sides in all fields of municipal work.
