Doha, Qatar: The Islamweb network, affiliated with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs through its Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance, has launched a new Ramadan initiative titled ‘Doha of the Qur’an’.

The platform represents one of the network’s most comprehensive seasonal projects, bringing together the beauty of Qur’anic recitation, the spirit of worship, and in-depth knowledge of Qur’anic sciences within a single digital hub designed to serve a broad audience.

The newly launched section features an extensive Qur’anic audio library that includes more than 50 complete recitations (khatmah) of the Holy Qur’an performed by a distinguished group of renowned reciters from across the Islamic world. The collection includes recordings by Qatari imams, as well as reciters from the Masjid al-Haram and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, alongside other prominent Qur’an reciters known for their mastery of well-known recitation styles.

Beyond recitations, the “Doha of the Qur’an” platform provides a wide knowledge gateway through simplified educational materials covering various branches of Qur’anic studies. These include Qur’anic interpretation (tafsir), reasons for revelation, rules of tajweed, Qur’anic orthography, rare vocabulary of the Qur’an, and the sciences of abrogation.

A distinctive feature of the platform is its interactive Qur’an browsing service, which allows users to explore the Qur’an according to the ten canonical recitations and their narrators. Through an interactive digital mushaf, visitors can easily navigate between recitations and observe their differences, offering a unique opportunity to experience this specialised field of Qur’anic scholarship in a practical format.

The platform also includes a curated digital library containing key references in tajweed, tafsir, and Islamic rulings related to the Qur’an. The collection features books, studies, and research materials across various Qur’anic disciplines, providing a valuable resource for students, scholars, and anyone interested in Qur’anic learning.
