PISQ marks Sri Lankan Independence Day

Doha: The management of Pakistan International School Qatar (PISQ) made a resolution to honour and to show solidarity with all students from different nationalities to celebrate their national days.  

In view of this, the Supervisor of International Education and Resource Network (iEARN) Project,  Aftab Hashmi and his multi-cultural students organised a colourful festive programme for the celebration of Independence Day of Sri Lanka in the morning assembly.

Nargis Raza Otho, Principal PISQ, was the chief guest of the programme. The Principal along with the students of Sri Lanka cut a cake wishing heartiest wish of ‘Happy Independence Day Sri Lanka’. This led to a moment of happiness for all present and especially all students from Sri Lanka.

The multi-national students of iEARN project delivered speeches regarding history, and culture of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan Flag was unfurled and one student described the flag.The students displayed colourful presentation highlighting the culture, food, costumes, national and traditional games, marriages ceremonies and festivals of Sri Lanka. 

At the end, all prayed for the better future of all Sri Lankan students and for peace and prosperity of their country.
