Over 130 Qatari businesswomen to participate in Merwad expo

Doha: The fifth edition of Merwad Exhibition will open on January 1 with the participation of more than 130 Qatari businesswomen.

Sponsored by the Qatar Chamber and organised by Vouge Event Company, the five-day expo will display products of a large number of prominent designers from Qatar, Kuwait, India, Oman, and Turkey.

Held across a 6,000sqm area, the expo includes 140 booths of clothes and particularly abaya. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Qatar Chamber Board Member and Chairperson of Qatari Businesswomen Forum Ibtihaj Al Ahmadani ( pictured) alongside a number of businesswomen and exhibitors.

In a press statement, Al Ahmadani praised the expo’s development through the previous editions in terms of the variety of displayed items which showcase innovation and high quality, as well as the large turnout of visitors and number of exhibitors.

She stressed that Merwad expo has become a landmark in the exhibition industry, especially in the field of women’s fashion and accessories, noting that it presents a variety of distinguished products of abayas and fashion that are of unique design. 

Al Ahmadani further stressed the continued support of Qatar Chamber through its Qatari Businesswomen Forum for the enterprises of businesswomen, underscoring the Chamber’s concern to develop their businesses to enhance their positive contribution in the national economy.

She went on to emphasise the role played by the Qatari Businesswomen Forum in strengthening communication with businesswomen and providing commercial and legal advice, assuring that Qatari businesswomen have proven great success in business.

Manager of Vogue Event Company, Tamader Al Marri, also expressed her appreciation to Qatar Chamber for its support for businesswomen, indicating that the Chamber’s sponsorship for the expo confirms its constant interest in promoting businesses of Qatari businesswomen. 

She added that the participation of 130 Qatari businesswomen in the expo demonstrates the substantial development accomplished in businesses of these entrepreneurs. Al Marri further expressed her thanks to Al Ahmadani for her keenness to inaugurate the expo and lauded the large turnout of businesswomen and designers who are eager to display their items in the exhibition.
