RAIWAND (Pakistan): Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif acknowledged that Qatar offers enormous potential for Pakistani products and skilled manpower in the wake of various developmental projects in infrastructure, industry, education, hospitality, transportation and services sectors.
He was speaking to the two-member delegation of Pak-Qatar Business Forum (PQBF)-Qatar comprising Rashid Rafiq Butt and Mohammad Idrees Anwar who called on him recently.
He said that Pakistan and Qatar enjoy close and brotherly relations and Qatar is transforming into one world’s most attractive destinations. Qatar’s progress is remarkable, enviable and a matter of pride for us as a brotherly Islamic country, he said.
Earlier, Rashid Butt informed that Pakistan government must evolve an aggressive marketing strategy backed by persuasion at the highest level to secure its share from the continuous growing of Qatari market. The tremendous opportunities would also open up human resource market for Pakistani professionals and skilled and unskilled workforce in Qatar thus directly contributing to the national economy.
Idrees Anwar briefly informed about PQBF-Qatar, which is the focal entity between the business communities of two countries for promotion of trade and investment, intends to organise Pakistan Single Country Exhibition in Doha to promote diversified capability of Pakistani industry focusing on upcoming projects in Qatar along with an Investment Conference aiming at attracting Qatari investment in Pakistan in areas like power generation, infrastructure, real estate, etc.
The Prime Minister was also requested to grace the occasion as his presence would give impetus to secure business opportunities by interacting at the highest level of Qatari government besides private sector.
