QDB signs MoU with Tawar Mall to  support small & home businesses

Qatar Development Bank (QDB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tawar Mall yesterday aiming to support and encourage Qatari entrepreneurs of small, medium and home businesses.

The MoU was signed by QDB Chief Executive Officer Abdulaziz bin Nasser Al Khalifa and Chairman of Tawar Mall Jassim Jabor Tawar Al Kuwari.

Under the agreement, Tawar Mall, with the support of Qatar Development Bank, will provide about 53 shops for small and home businesses with a low rental value of up to 50% of the approved rental rates.

CEO of Qatar Development Bank said that the MoU aims at supporting home projects and connecting them to local and international markets, in line with the Bank’s strategy to support small and medium enterprises, and in line with the National Program for Supporting Home Projects in collaboration with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs and Bedaya Center for business development.

For his part, Chairman of Tawar Mall said the agreement aims mainly at diversifying products and expanding the scope of partnerships, noting that the partnership between the two parties serves the work of small and medium enterprises and increases opportunities their expansion in the local market.
