Association for Chartered Certified Accountants Middle East (ACCA) held an event for over 100 students pursuing the ACCA qualification in Doha recently.
The ACCA Head of Education, Fazeela Gopalani, shared the best study practice tips and techniques with the students, along with providing insight into mind mapping principles as they continue their journeys to become accounting and finance professionals in Qatar.
Ben Ewbank, Director, Michael Page also shared valuable tips on CV writing and interviewing skills.
Top ACCA student achievers were honoured at the event. Qatari nationals, Abdullah Al Jaidah, who is ACCA qualified and Aviation Manager (Finance) in Qatar Airways, and Yousef Al-Naama, a top ACCA student achiever, working at Qatargas, addressed the students.
Abdullah Al Jaidah commented: “I am proud to have successfully achieved this globally recognised professional qualification. It was very difficult as ACCA demands very high standards but I did not give up even though I faced repeated failures at times. My message to all students is to continue working hard as it will equip you better in staying ahead of the competition worldwide."
Commenting on Yousef’s noteworthy achievement, Mani Atwal, Ventures Controller, Qatargas said: “Qatargas is delighted to see that Yousef’s hard work and commitment has won him well-earned recognition by ACCA.
