Doha: Entrepreneurs braving the challenging markets amid the COVID-19 pandemic have been urged to specialise in specific domains and build their niche around it, industry experts have said at a highly informative and wide-ranging discussion on ‘Innovation & Resilience: Emerging opportunities for Entrepreneurs during Covid-19’, which was organised by Hyperthink System’s Risin Ventures recently. The hour-long webinar was attended by around 50 participants including leading SMEs and Qatar-based startups.
Speakers at the webinar included Senior Director at PWC, Siddharth Sibal, Co-Founder & CEO of Snoonu, Hamad Mubark Al Hajri, and the Founder & CEO of CWallet, Michael Javier.
During the event, Siddharth spoke about the 15 niches that can be explored by entrepreneurs in the ‘New Normal’ that has emerged, and also emphasised that individuals should focus on specialising in a specific domain and build their niche around it.
Further, Al Hajri spoke about the upside and tremendous growth which Snoonu has seen during the Covid19 times. He mentioned about Snoonu’s growth with the last mile delivery model and how he was able to turn the Covid challenge into an opportunity.
Javier shared how CWallet was able to navigate through the challenging situation brought to the e-commerce market in Qatar and how he was able to leverage the power of technology app to deliver contactless payment solution during these challenging times.
The Q&A session in the end had participants discuss the various trends and opportunities with the speakers.
