Paris: Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club (QREC) Chairman, stressed the success of the 2018 renewal of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (QPAT), which was concluded yesterday in Paris.
“No doubt, this year’s edition has been a huge success,” he said adding: “Especially as it has returned to Paris Longchamp, which is considered the best racecourse worldwide. The renovation made has made the racecourse ideal. It can accommodate a larger number of racegoers now and it looks much better, which in turn is in the interest of the event sponsored by Qatar over the years.”
“Having the Qatar Arabian World Cup run just before the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triompne race has brought several benefit. It guarantees a larger turnout at the race, which Qatar is keen to have it run in Paris every year, given Qatar’s commitment to its great heritage of Purebred Arabians,” he added.
“This year, Qatar Airways and Manateq partnered us in the sponsorship of the event. Their presence was strong and active and contributed to the event. In addition, thousands of people were at Paris Lonchamp, which is also in the interest of the organisations who partner us in this sponsorship,” he said.
