Doha: The Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center has launched the programme “What Every Muslim Must Know”, targeting in its first stage the Tamil-speaking community.
The programme is being held at the Center’s Labor City branch and aims to educate non-Arabic-speaking Muslim communities about the fundamentals of Islam, while enhancing their religious, cultural, and ethical awareness.
Dozens of workers are attending the programme, where they learn about the basics of creed and worship, ask scholars about various rulings, and listen to guidance beneficial for their daily lives. The programme covers the essential rulings every Muslim needs in life, fulfilling both their knowledge and social needs.
The launch of this programme coincides with the resumption of community lessons in mosques, as well as at the Center itself, which continues to focus on educating expatriate communities, organising lectures for them, and meeting their needs. This follows the success of the 5th Summer Forum and several summer holiday lectures held for the Ethiopian, Filipino, and other communities.
