Kerala Women’s Initiative Qatar distributed 500 summer treat kits among outdoor workers engaged in construction and road works in different parts of the city recently.

The summer treat kit, which included a bottle of water, juice, fruits, cake and biscuits, provided the workers a relief as they work outdoors.  The packing and distribution of the kits were lead by KWIQ’s Vice President Bini Vinod, General Secretary Anju Anand and Patron Sreedevi Joy. KWIQ’s Managing Committee members and volunteers were part of the execution team.

“We are glad to have restarted this initiative post-Covid. The joy and smiles we witnessed while distributing the kits to these workers is simply priceless as it clearly showed that we did make a difference to their daily routine,” said Bini.

The summer treat kit distribution journey, in seven vehicles, was flagged off by Indian Cultural Centre President PN Baburajan from the cultural centre building.

Safari Hypermarket, Malabar Gold, Qbake and Ali Bin Ali supported KWIQ in this initiative.
