Riyadh: Gulf Health Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf held yesterday its 95th session of the executive body meeting at the council’s headquarters in the Saudi Arabia capital Riyadh with the participation of the State of Qatar.
During the meeting, the State of Qatar was represented by the Director of Public Health Department at the Ministry of Public Health Sheikh Dr. Mohamed bin Hamad Al Thani and the Director of the Department of International Health Relations at the Ministry of Public Health Abdullatif Ali al Abdullah.
The members of the executive body discussed an array of topics that were listed on the agenda of the meeting pertaining to prevention, awareness, development and health support that would primarily help develop health services level in GCC states, in addition to discussing the strategic plans and reviewing the role of the current and future awareness campaigns through which the council promotes health behaviours and practices, and raising the awareness of GCC states through launching several campaigns, including combating of narcotics and elderly campaigns.
