DOHA: Qatar Fuel Additives Company Ltd (Qafac) has signed an agreement for records management services offsite storage and material storage: Spare parts, equipment and hazardous materials wit Gulf Warehousing Company (GWC), Nasser Jeham Al Kuwari General Manger of Qafac, has announced.
Under the agreement, GWC will index, catalogue and archive all essential documents of Qafac at their state-of-the-art facility in Industrial Area. GWC will also provide storage facility approved by Civil Defence compliant to international standards for chemical storage, pressurised containers and spare parts with on line visibility through their warehouse management system software.
GWC is accredited with PRISM membership for its qualitative approach in records management services and provide end-to-end document management services in an FM 200 Gas-based fire protection system, retrieval and re-filing of documents with monitored IP-based cameras in addition to 24x7 manned security and electronics security measures.
In addition to this, Qafac has also entered into agreement with GWC appointing them as their freight forwarder for import and export of all material via sea freight.

Under the agreement, Qafac’s offsite storage will be managed at GWC’s new warehousing facilities at Mesaieed, which were conceptualised and developed to service Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC) companies.
“Our new facilities at MIC have been equipped with the latest in-rack sprinkler systems, as well as wireless coverage within the warehouses for full Radio-frequency (paperless) operations. These warehouses are also equipped with specialized camera-mounted forklifts for maximum safety, and a team which is fully trained in HSE and dangerous goods operations”, said Nader Hakim, COO of GWC.
The Peninsula
