Doha: beIN Media Group (beIN) has received the Golden Award for outstanding performance in the National Cyber Drill 2024, organised by Qatar’s National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) under the theme “Zero Hour”.
This marks the second consecutive year that beIN has received the Golden Award.
The National Cyber Drill is an annual nationwide exercise that evaluates the cybersecurity readiness of government entities, critical infrastructure sectors, and private organisations.
The 2024 edition focused on high-intensity, real-world cyber threat simulations designed to assess detection, response, and recovery capabilities across participating entities.
This recognition reflects beIN’s ongoing commitment to cybersecurity leadership.
The organisation’s Information Security team - under the leadership of beIN’s Group Director of Information Security, Kenan Begovic - demonstrated advanced technical capabilities, effective decision-making, and strong cross-functional coordination during the drill, contributing to this distinguished honour.
The drill was project managed by Rashid Al-Obaidli, Head of Information Security Architecture, Planning & Projects Section at beIN. Collecting the award he said: “This award is a result of collective effort, relentless preparation, and a culture of vigilance that runs across our entire team. It is not just a win for us, but a reaffirmation of our commitment to Qatar’s national digital security goals. As cyber threats grow more complex, we remain focused on innovation, agility, and collaboration to protect our platforms, content, and audiences.”
