Doha: The Cyber Security Center at the Ministry of Interior, the Security Committee of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy and Qatar Finance and Business Academy signed an agreement with the Cisco International Company for cooperation and training in the field of cyber security.

Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, Director of Public Security;  Maj. Gen. Abdul Azeez bin Faisal Al Thani, Deputy Chairman of the Security Committee of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy; Dr. Khalid Al Hurr, Director of the Qatar Academy of Finance and Business, and Shin Herati, General Manager of Cisco International – Qatar, were present at the ceremony along with directors of various MOI departments. 

Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi stressed the importance of country’s strong cyber security system to respond to various electronic attacks.

For his part, Major Othman Salem Al Hamoud, Assistant Director of the Cyber Security Center at MOI, said that there is keen interest in having well-qualified personnel to deal with modern technology especially in the field of cyber security. For this purpose, the Cyber Security Center, the Security Committee, and Qatar Academy signed an agreement with Cisco International, one of the largest and best-performing global IT companies.
