Kabul: More than 30 people were killed and around 50 wounded in an insurgent attack on Afghanistan's largest military hospital in Kabul on Wednesday, the defence ministry said.

"Most of the victims are patients, doctors and nurses," ministry spokesman Dawlat Waziri told AFP, adding that four attackers were also killed.
