Doha: The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) announced the election of Abdulrahman Al Mannai (pictured below), President of Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), as a member of the global governing body’s Governance Committee.
The selection of the members of the Governance Committee, which includes five members of the most prominent heads of federations globally, led by Qatar’s Abdulrahman Al Mannai, was done by the FIM Board of Directors members.
The election of Al Mannai is a great asset for Qatar in general and for Qatari sports in particular, as he will be an active member of the committee concerned with the evaluation and monitoring of the performance of the International Federation and the development of future plans and policies.
The Governance Committee is one of the most important committees of the International Motorcycling Federation. It is responsible for organising and supervising the work within the Federation, as well as establishing rules and principles for the management and control of the Federation’s activities.
The committee is scheduled to hold its first meeting in mid-February at the FIM headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
