Doha: Qatar’s Thawab Al Subaey (pictured), along with a delegation from Qatar Winter Sports Committee left for Lausanne, Switzerland yesterday ahead of the third Winter Youth Olympics which is to be held from January 9-22.
Al Subaey will participate in Boys’ 3x3 Mixed Ice Hockey Tournament in what will be the first Qatari appearance in Winter Youth Olympics.
Al Subaey is one of three Qatari players who led the standings of Ice Hockey Skill Challenge organised by Qatar Winter Sports Committee in September 2019 to select one player to qualify for Youth Winter Olympics.
