DOHA: Al Gharafa will meet Qatar SC today at Thani Bin Jassim Stadium in a match that promises to be a high-stakes battle for the Qatar Stars League (QSL) lead.
Al Gharafa top the standings with 19 points following a crucial victory over Al Duhail, while Qatar SC sit third with 17 points, hoping to bounce back from a 0-1 defeat to Al Wakrah.
Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins said, “The team is highly motivated and focused ahead of our postponed match against Qatar SC. We are excited for this match, which is one of the most important of the season… we must be at our best to achieve victory.”
Player Jamal Hamed added, “Winning this match is very important because it guarantees our continued lead. We will fight to secure the three points.”
Qatar SC are equally determined. Coach Marquez Lopez acknowledged the challenge: “Al Gharafa are a great team… we are currently suffering from several absences, but we are looking forward to giving our best and achieving the desired result.” Faiz Selemani said, “We are ready for the Al Gharafa match and are looking forward to achieving a good result, especially since we have prepared properly for this encounter.”
