Doha: President of Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF), Nasser bin Ghanim Al Khelaifi, expressed his delight with the successful organisation of the Qatar Classic Squash Championship 2020, organised by the Qatari Federation at Khalifa International Tennis & Squash complex, with the participation of all the top players on world tour.
Al Khelaifi said in a statement after attending the quarter-finals, that the championship showed the highest level of success despite the circumstances that the world is currently going through as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
He stressed that Qatar will always be up to any challenge, and the presence of world champions and the world’s top ranked players currently competing for the championship title is the greatest evidence of this, and it also confirms the confidence of the sports leaders in Qatar.
Al Khelaifi also stressed that the organising committee is very keen to provide all the factors that contribute to the success of the championship at all levels, in a manner befitting Qatar’s global position in organising sporting events.
He explained that the most important cause of success is the close cooperation with officials, especially Qatar Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Public Health and the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management.
