The Municipality of Um Salal, in cooperation with the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Interior, concluded the first phase of the awareness initiatives program on fighting cybercrime under the slogan “awareness” and targeted middle and high school students.
The programme includes lectures were held between October 16 to November 5.
The lectures for the school students covered the definition of cybercrimes, types, nature, motives behind them and consequences.
The lectures also covered the Law No. (14) of 2014 which deals with combating electronic crimes in Qatar, along with stressing on the importance of raising awareness to protect society from the risk of such crimes and the misuses of social media.
