Muscat: A Qatari student team will participate in the third Gulf Physics Olympiad 2019, which is scheduled to start in Muscat today and continues until October 10.
The participation of the Qatari delegation of four students is the third in such competition. The competition is composed of two tests in physics. The first is a theoretical test that measures the higher levels of thinking in various fields of physics (mechanics, solid-state mechanics, hydraulic mechanics, thermodynamics and molecular physics, vibrations and waves, electric charge and electric field, current and magnetic field, electromagnetic waves, quantum mechanics and relativity, the physical properties of matter). The other is a practical test that measures students’ skills in dealing with practical experiences.
