DOHA: Qatar Detergent Company (QDC) has recently launched a new fully-automated factory, giving them the potential to cater to 100 percent of Qatar’s laundry detergent requirements.
The new facility also enables them to exponentially increase their capacity, and further improve the quality of its product, matching international quality standards, said a statement.
QDC has been operating in Qatar since 1978, and has always strived to provide high quality cleaning products that are affordable to a wide cross-section of customers, throughout the country. The vision is to make QDC one of the country’s’ most ‘valuable’ corporations through world-class products, quality, and innovations.
The new factory has been made fully automated in an effort to ensure that all the products are exclusively manufactured in Qatar, to world class production standards. All of QDC’s product formulas have been tested by industry experts in Germany, to ensure that product quality matches, or in some cases even exceeds, that of international brands available in the Qatari market.
QDC also ensures that all products go through rigorous internal quality assurance tests, and constant safety checks.
QDC’s flagship brand “Pearl” has now undergone a complete packaging revamp, and has also further improved its product formulas. Pearl shall now focus only on the fabric care category, and will offer a variety of new products such as liquid detergents, abaya shampoos, fabric softeners, and new variants in the detergent powders.
QDC has also launched two new brands under the names of ‘Apex’, and ‘Clara’. Both the brands have been launched to cater specific market demands. ‘Apex’ will be operating in the home cleaning category, containing products such as all purpose cleaners, and bleach, which provide 99.9% germ killing properties. ‘Clara’ will be functional in the dishwashing liquid category, providing a solution of effective grease cutting.
