Doha: After Lulu Hypermarket, Al Khor Branch that was certified in 2015, now Lulu Hypermarket, Barwa City, has achieved ISO 22000 Food Safety Management Systems and HACCP Standards certifications.
With this, Lulu Hypermarket Trading Company WLL has become the first hypermarket chain in Qatar to get ISO 22000 and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
The certificates were handed over to Mohamed Althaf, Director, Lulu Group International, in a ceremony at Lulu Hypermarket, Barwa City Branch on Sunday by Sunil Zachariah, General Manager, Quality Austria Gulf, in the presence of other officials from Quality Austria Gulf — Prabath D’silva, Technical Manager; and Aion Gregor Tubanza, Administration and Customer Service Manager; and Shaijan M O, Regional Director, Lulu Hypermarket Group; Shanavas P M, Regional Manager; Keith Smith, Retail Operations Manager; and other officials from Lulu Hypermarket Group. The assessment and certification of Lulu Hypermarket was done by Quality Austria.
Althaf said, “Gaining ISO 22000 and HACCP certifications demonstrate our commitment to production and distribution of safe food products. The certifications confirm our efforts to provide safe products to our consumers in Qatar and other regions.”
