Shale gas threat to oil prices

The US shale energy revolution is a “big issue”, UAE’s Oil Minister Mohammed bin Dhaen Al Hamli said at an Opec meeting recently. The rise of shale energy could, in the long term, pull down oil prices and slow growth in demand for supplies from the Gulf.
