DOHA: Reach Out To Asia’s (Rota) Wheels ‘n’ Heels Family Fun Day tomorrow at the Museum of Islamic Art Park will feature a diabetes awareness village which will offer blood glucose tests and provide advice to prevent and manage the disease.
Maersk Oil Qatar, the flagship sponsor of Wheels ‘n’ Heels 2013, is supporting the Action on Diabetes initiative designed to deliver the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani’s vision of a healthier and prosperous Qatar by 2030.

Specialists from Supreme Health Council, Qatar Diabetes Association, Hamad Medical Corporation, Primary Health Care Corporation and Novo Nordisk, partners with Maersk Oil in the Action on Diabetes project, will be at hand to offer tests and advice to visitors.
The Wheels ‘n’ Heels action starts at 2pm.
Entertainment activities include performances by Colombian artist Jose Arias, Egyptian singer Hamza Al Namira, Iraqi singer and Star Academy contestant Rahma Riyadh, Kuwaiti singer and Star Academy runner-up Bashar Al Shatti and Bahraini comedians Ali Al Ghrair and Khalil Al Rohaithi.
There will be sports and exercise displays by the BMX Bike Show, the Football Free Stylers Show, a stunning Indonesian Saman Dance, interactive Children’s Singalong and Doha Jazz Band. tThe Peninsula
