DOHA: The Kulluna campaign roadshow which has already visited City Center and Landmark will now make its stop at Villaggio.

This weekend’s display is dedicated to keeping children safe at home.

Dr Khalid Abdulnoor Saifeldeen, Director of the Hamad International Training Center (HITC), a partner in Kulluna, said, “Each year more than 40,000 children aged 14 and under suffer injuries at home.”

According to statistics 85 percent of all injuries to children occur in the home and all of these are preventable. The injuries tend to fall into six main categories as falls, burns, drowning, being hit by cars in the driveway, choking and poisoning. Kulluna seeks to educate the public on how to prevent such incidents.

“With the roadshows we aim to raise awareness on the dangers in the home and what families can do to keep their children safe,” said Dr Saifeldeen.

“Those parents who visited us in City Center and Landmark were able to talk to medical professionals and safety experts and the children had fun playing interactive educational games featuring our safety heroes Salem and Salma, the Kulluna campaign mascots. All of this will be available again at Villaggio and we hope to meet lots more families there,” he said.

The Kulluna roadshow will be stationed near the Villaggio food court on today, tomorrow and on Saturday from 4pm to 9pm each day. The Peninsula
