Doha: Executive Leadership Programme participants recently completed their educational trip to Boston in the US.
The academic module, ‘Innovation and Change,’ was designed by Qatar Leadership Centre’s (QLC) academic partner, Harvard Business School.
A learning journey followed, designed for the National Leadership Programme’s participants, to enhance leadership and operational skills by introducing participants to a series of real-world perspectives that offer practical insights that go beyond their coursework in Qatar.
“The designed modules and face-to-face meetings with decision-makers and high-level figures in various fields of business, and the workshops, allow our participants to observe best practices and gain insights on global experiences at the practical level that are complementary to their respective programmes,” said General Manager of QLC Dr. Ahmed A Al Kuwari.
Held at Harvard Business School, the programme examined critical topics, such as innovation processes, scaling innovation for growth, and transformational leadership for turbulent times.
“This trip to Harvard Business School is very important for our participants’ leadership acumen, with the module conducted by a specialized academic team. The focus was on crisis management, creating a team culture through leadership, design thinking, and creative and change leadership, which are essential concepts for today’s leaders,” said the Acting Director of Programmes at QLC Nasreen Mohammed Al Malek.
Participants also attended a series of seminars with senior Massachusetts government leaders from diverse areas, including international trade and industry and housing and economic development.
Distinguished academics and industry figures also met with the participants, including senior officials from universities, leading construction companies, women’s policy initiatives, sustainability officers from the government and the private sector, and government affairs officials.
