Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) is teaming up with the renowned Qatari community group, How Women Work (HWW), to celebrate this year’s International Women's Day on  March 8 by hosting an event focusing on women’s health and wellness.
The event will take place at the Torch Ballroom in Aspire Zone, on Wednesday (March 8) from 3:30pm to 10:00pm. Those who are interested in attending can register online via www.lifeinaspire.qa.
The AZF and HWW event aims to raise awareness among Qatari women that success at work is connected to a balanced lifestyle that starts with a healthy body and mind. The core principles of the event align with AZF’s efforts to promote the culture of physical activity and healthy lifestyles among members of the community in Qatar.
Prominent local personalities will be present at the event hoping to inspire event attendees to do the same, sharing their success stories on how they combine a healthy lifestyle with a successful professional life.
A number of sessions will also be held including one that teaches a unique stretching and breathing exercise regime that helps improve posture and confidence, and a session examining self-defence and an introduction to the world of martial arts.
HWW is a community group that was founded in 2009 that aims to empower women to grow and succeed in Qatar.
It is under the patronage of H E Sheikha Alanoud bint Hamad Al Thani and brings together women with aspirations and ambitions to share knowledge, ideas and enable them to find sustainable ways to succeed.
