Doha: Top-seed Abdullah Al Tamimi of Qatar coasted to an easy win over second seed Shaun Kwan Ka Junn of Malaysia to win the Under-19 title at the Qatar Open Junior Squash Tournament at the Khalifa International Squash Complex on Monday.
The local lad breezed to 11-3, 11-6, 11-6 victory in straight games taking just 21 minutes to pocket the title.
The tournament, an Asian Squash Federation Junior Super Series Silver event and a World Squash Federation (WSF) World Junior Circuit event, was organised by Qatar Squash Federation (QSF).
Participants received WSF ranking points in Under-19 and ASF ranking points in all other categories.
Competitions were held in the Under-19, U-17, U-15, U-13 and U-11 categories. In the other categories, Shyan Kwan Ka Lapp of Malaysia won the under-17 category while Abdel Aziz Omeira of Qatar won the Under-15 event.
