Baladiya uses traditional flower vases for QND celebrations

DOHA: Public Parks Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment is busy decorating various places in Qatar with traditional flower vases and beautifying gardens in preparation of Qatar National Day (QND) celebrations.
They have placed traditional flower vases, which resembles Arabic coffee cups, at various public places in the country, where many QND events are to be held. 
The department workers have almost completed its preparation for decorating public places and gardens with various colourful flowers for National Day celebration.
“The preparation for National Day usually starts at the end of summer, but this year we started early to coincide with the visit of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz to Qatar and the work will continue until National Day," Mohammed Al Khoori, director, Public Parks Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, said.
“We will focus more on places which is expected to witness more National Day events like Al Corniche. We are also coordinating with all municipalities to understand their needs of plants,” he added.
