DOHA: Hong Sik Oh and Nada Mir emerged men’s and women’s Division One winners of the Doha Golf Club’s Monthly Medal on Friday.
Fifty five golfers took part in the event which was sponsored by Megarme.
In Men’s Division One Hong Sik Oh took first place with a nett score of 70, playing off a handicap of 5. His score was good enough for a one stroke victory.
Men’s Division Two saw the best score of the day. Phillip Mayes shot a superb nett score of 67, playing off a handicap of 16, to finish two shots clear of the pack.
In Division 3, 20 handicapper Amin Mohammed won by one shot after a nett score of 70.
The Ladies Division was won by Nada Mir, who continued her run of good form in 2018 with a nett 72. Her score was good enough for a two stroke victory and lowered her handicap to four.
The victory keeps Nada Mir at the top of the Megame Ladies Medal Order of Merit for 2018 ahead of her mother Uzma Mir in second.
Andrew Wilmot currently leads the Megarme Men’s Medal Order of Merit with Harry Soek in second and Martin Castles in third.
