Hyatt Plaza wins top award for marketing excellence

Doha: During the 20th anniversary celebrations of RECON Middle East & North Africa last month, Hyatt Plaza walked away with the Silver Award in the cause-related marketing excellence category. 
With this, Hyatt Plaza Shopping Mall distinguished itself as the first in Qatar to win an MECSC/ICSC award. 
The event was organized by International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Middle East Council of Shopping Centres (MECSC) — both of whom represent the shopping centres industry globally and regionally. Their mission is to provide an effective forum for exchange of ideas and sharing knowledge and be a catalyst for the development of the industry. 
Evaluation of award entries was based on the efficiency of a particular campaign, design and its overall effectiveness in terms of return of investment, increase in mall traffic, enhancement of sales, and media coverage.
Hyatt Plaza’s 2014 Ramadan Events Entry made it to the award. The competition was open to 40 nominations from the Middle East and North Africa and the entry was a single event, programme or project that primarily benefited a charitable or community need, interest or cause.
Hyatt Plaza captured the spirit of Ramadan by organising events, including Fast-a-thon, Kids fun zone, charity Iftar parties and a donation drive.
