Jakarta: Indonesia aims to boost investment by 14.2 percent in 2026, targeting 2,175.26 trillion rupiah (132.3 billion US dollars), Rosan Roeslani, minister of investment and downstream industry, said Thursday at a parliamentary session.
He also outlined five-year goals, forecasting investment to rise to 13,032.8 trillion rupiah between 2025 and 2029.
Roeslani attributed the optimistic investment outlook to growing investor confidence, supported by government-led initiatives such as the sovereign wealth fund Danantara.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati announced that the government has allocated 243.1 trillion rupiah for investment financing next year, earmarked for housing, provincial infrastructure, education, and other strategic sectors. (1 US dollar equals 16,452.24 Indonesian rupiah).
