Doha: In an important initiative set to shape the future of medical imaging in the country and region, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will host the first-ever Qatar Radiology Congress (QRC 2025) in October.
The high-profile event will convene leading radiology professionals, clinicians, researchers, and industry experts to explore cutting-edge diagnostic imaging practices and their role in modern clinical care.
As Qatar’s principal healthcare provider, HMC continues to set the benchmark in patient safety and clinical excellence — maintaining the highest standards of radiation safety and driving innovation to enhance healthcare outcomes across the country.
In a joint welcome message published on the HMC website, Chairperson of the Clinical Imaging Department at HMC and Chairperson of QRC 2025, Dr. Amal Al Obaidli and Head of Body Imaging at HMC and Co-Chair of QRC 2025, Dr. Adham Darweesh emphasised the congress’s mission to enhance knowledge, foster innovation, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
“Our goal is to inspire new ideas, strengthen professional networks, and highlight the essential role that imaging plays in modern medicine,” the message said.
“This congress is a celebration of how far we’ve come in radiology — and a commitment to the challenges and possibilities that lie ahead.”
The three-day event will feature a comprehensive scientific programme designed to offer a rich and engaging learning experience.
The highlights include keynote presentations delivered by internationally renowned experts, providing valuable insights into the latest advancements in the field.
The attendees will also benefit from interactive, hands-on workshops tailored for practical learning and skill development.
Additionally, the programme will include mini multidisciplinary team (MDT) panel discussions that delve into real clinical cases, fostering collaborative problem-solving and knowledge exchange. Complementing these sessions are poster exhibits and scientific abstract presentations, showcasing current research and innovative clinical approaches.
There will be sessions spanning subspecialties such as cardiothoracic, abdominal, musculoskeletal, paediatric, women’s and emergency imaging, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology.
QRC 2025 will also provide invaluable networking opportunities, enabling attendees to build lasting connections and collaborate across specialities and institutions. The congress is expected to attract a wide audience, including physicians, fellows, residents, radiologic technologists, nurses, and medical students, all committed to advancing imaging excellence. “We encourage all participants to take full advantage of this unique learning environment to absorb the shared knowledge and contribute with their own insights,” said Dr. Darweesh.
With its blend of cutting-edge science, clinical relevance, and professional collaboration, the QRC 2025 is set to become a flagship event in the region’s medical calendar. QRC 2025 will be held from October 16 to 18 at Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha.
