The Barney and Friends show ... a huge draw.
DOHA: The ongoing children’s show Barney and Friends has reeled in up to 4,500 people at the Gate Mall.
The live show will continue at 9, 10 and 11pm during the last few days of Ramadan.
Due to increasing demand during Eid Al Fitr, the timetable will be extended to four shows per day, starting from noon and running through 4, 7 and 9pm.
The mall has also announced that the show will be starting a complete new act tomorrow and an added surprise will be unveiled during Eid day.
A kids’ corner has been set up on the ground floor of the mall, and is hosting activities such as balloon squeezing and face painting.
“We are delighted with the turnout for the Barney and Friends live show at the Gate Mall.
“It has been showcased as a successful event by parents and children in the country. It is a form of entertainment that encourages positive behaviour by incorporating music, fun and laughs,” said Marketing Representative of the mall, Isabella Ibrahim.
He said that the show is an excellent learning tool that teaches children values that will reflect positively in their daily lives by allowing them to build important personality characteristics.
“We are pleased that we have brought one of the most successful shows in the entertainment industry to the children in Qatar.
“We will focus on making positive changes in Qatari society and continue bringing more educational shows in the nearby future,” she added.
