DOHA: Katara will present a dance drama titled “Julia Dumna” from tomorrow until Sunday at the Katara Drama Theatre.
“Julia Dumna,” portrays the active role of women through the ages through a mix of drama, dance, and expression, taking the audience beyond time and place to feel the depth of Arab history, through the life of Arab princess, Julia Dumna.
The play paints a vivid picture of a woman who was a patron of science, the emperor’s companion during his military campaigns, and ever a support to her husband, the Roman Emperor Septimus Severus.
A highlight of the show is the finale featuring a dance performance which reflects Arab culture.
