Doha: HE Sheikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser Al Thani, the Minister at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) in Qatar, honored a number of Qatari environmental pioneers at the Al Shahaniya reserve earlier today.
The pioneers were honored for voluntary environmental initiatives, and their contributions through their projects to raising awareness to Qatari environmental issues.
The honorees included photographer and environmental activist Hamad Khalifa Al-Khulaifi and the Qatari environmental activist Ali Talib Al-Hanzab.
HE Sheikh Dr. Faleh bin Nasser Al Thani stressed that the initiative aims to honor individuals who contribute to preserving the Qatari environment in all its kinds, whether plant, animal, or marine.
