The Cyber Security Center at the Ministry of Interior  (MoI) launched a series of training programme courses at Qatar Finance and Business Academy with the aim of cybercrimes prevention.
The training courses aim to raise awareness of all state employees in the field of information technology and systems and raise the efficiency of information systems and security personnel in particular.
The programme established by the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with the Qatar Finance and Business Academy.
The two-year programme attracts about 50,000 trainees from all government and semi-government agencies in the country, through which employees are developed through a number of training stages, so the trainee moves from a specialist level to an expert level.
First Lieutenant Mohammed Yousef Kafood, the supervisor of the training courses, said that these practical courses come within the context of activating the practical side of the prevention of electronic crime training programme that the centre launched earlier, in cooperation with the Qatar Finance and Business Academy.
“The programme seeks to attract more than 50,000 trainees from three categories of employees affiliated with the various government and semi-government agencies in the country, namely: the regular computer user, information systems employees and specialists who are employees in information security”,
he said.
First Lieutenant  Kafood also pointed out that the total of these trainees will be trained over a period of two years, during which they pass through several training stages, beginning with the specialisation stage and reaching the level of the expert, in order to protect electronic systems in various state agencies and institutions.
