Doha: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has signed a contract with the Qatari Company for Airports Operation and Management (Matar) on the management, operation and maintenance of Hamad International Airport (HIA).

The contract was signed by the President of the CAA Abdulla bin Nasser Turki Al Subaey, and the Qatari Company's (Matar) Akbar Al Baker.

Under the terms of the contract, the Qatari Company (Matar) granted the rights to operate and manage Hamad International Airport and maintain its facilities under the direct supervision of the Civil Aviation Authority, to ensure regular and continuous operation of the airport.
